Autism Care Demonstration Overview
The Autism Care Demonstration provides Applied Behavior Analysis services for qualifying family members with autism. This is separate from the TRICARE basic benefit, which covers medical services. ABA services can help address behavior challenges for those with autism. There is no age or time limits to get ABA services, however, ABA services must be clinically necessary and appropriate. To obtain ABA services, your dependent must be enrolled in the ACD. Enrolling in the ACD requires your dependent to have a definitive diagnosis of autism by an approved ASD diagnosing provider and be enrolled in an eligible TRICARE health plan.
