Steps to Enroll in the ACD

Your dependent can be enrolled in the ACD after they have a definitive diagnosis of autism, which includes the results of a Validated Assessment Tool, completion of the DSM-5 Checklist, and a referral for ABA services. The TRICARE basic program covers this appointment. Your dependent’s PCM or approved ASD specialty diagnosing provider can make the diagnosis.

You and your dependent can get support to meet requirements for enrollment in the ACD for up to 180 calendar days.
