Exceptional Family Member Program & Extended Care Health Option

If the sponsor is active duty, they must enroll in the Exceptional Family Member Program and your dependent must be registered in the Extended Care Health Option to get ABA services in the ACD.

EFMP

EFMP is a Service program. EFMP provides resources and support to families with special needs.

To enroll, submit the complete DD Form 2792 with the stamp on page 3 to TRICARE West. Sometimes, there is a waiver to enroll in EFMP, please contact TRICARE West for more information.

ECHO

ECHO provides family members with special needs. additional services and supplies. Your dependent can start using ECHO during a 90-day provisional period to complete EFMP enrollment. On the 91st calendar day, if you haven't provided proof of EFMP enrollment, your dependent is disenrolled from ECHO and the ACD.
