My Sponsor Died While Covered by TAMP

Transitional Assistance Management Program coverage lasts for 180 days. If your sponsor has TAMP and dies during that 180-day period, you may keep TAMP coverage up to that 180th day.

Loss of Coverage

After the 180-day period ends, you lose TAMP coverage. You need to keep minimum essential coverageBasic health care coverage that meets the Affordable Care Act requirement. under the Affordable Care Act. You can:

• Purchase temporary coverage under the Continued Health Care Benefit Program.
• Use health insurance through an employer.
• Use Medicaid.
• Use a plan offered through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
