TRICARE Retired Reserve

TRICARE Retired Reserve is a premium-based health plan for retired National Guard and Reserve members, their family members, and survivors who qualify.

Purchasing TRICARE Retired Reserve is a two-step process.

Step 1: Qualify

To qualify, you must:

  • Be a member of the Retired Reserve of a Reserve Component who is qualified for a non-regular retirement under age 60.
  • Not be eligible for or enrolled in the Federal Employee Health Benefits Program in your own right.

Step 2: Purchase

Online

To purchase TRICARE Retired Reserve online, you must have a milConnect account.

  1. Log in to milConnect.
  2. Select “Benefits,” then “Beneficiary Web Enrollment.”
  3. Follow the instructions to enroll.

Tip: Don’t select FEHB if you aren’t a federal employee. Otherwise, you won’t qualify for TRICARE Reserve Retired. If you don’t qualify, you won’t be able to complete or print the form.
