Mucus Clearance Device

TRICARE covers mucus clearance devices for:

  • Cystic Fibrosis
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (which encompasses both chronic bronchitis and emphysema)
  • Other mucus producing lung diseases

The mucus clearance device must be approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
