Kyphoplasty
Balloon kyphoplasty is a minimally invasive back surgery. TRICARE covers kyphoplasty to treat painful osteolytic lesions and osteoporotic compression fractures refractory to conservative medical treatment.
Balloon kyphoplasty may replace spinal fusion, an invasive surgical procedure, for treatment of fractured vertebrae.
