Emergency Care

Urgent Care
If you need urgent care:
- Call the MHS Nurse Advice Line 800-TRICARE (874-2273), option 1.
- Visit a TRICARE-authorized providerAn authorized provider is any individual, institution/organization, or supplier that is licensed by a state, accredited by national organization, or meets other standards of the medical community, and is certified to provide benefits under TRICARE. There are two types of TRICARE-authorized providers: Network and Non-Network. DS with urgent care services.
- Get care at a military hospital or clinic which offers urgent care services. Find a military hospital or clinic.
Routine Care
If you need routine care:
- Call International SOS at 877-451-8659 before getting care or making payments.
- ISOS will help connect you with a provider.
MHS Nurse Advice Line
If you need health care advice, help finding an urgent care or emergency care facility, or to schedule a virtual urgent care appointment:
- Call the MHS Nurse Advice Line 800-TRICARE (874-2273), option 1.
- Visit MHSNurseAdviceLine.com for web chat and video chat.
Mental Health
If you need mental health support:
- Dial 988 then press 1 or text 838255.
- Call the MHS Nurse Advice Line at 800-TRICARE (874-2273).
Prescriptions
If you need to fill a prescription:
- Fill the prescription at a military pharmacy if one is nearby.
- Find a network pharmacy or call Express Scripts 877-363-1303 to get help finding a network pharmacy.
- Do you already have a prescription with a military pharmacy overseas? You can work with any stateside military pharmacy to transfer your prescription. There must be active refills remaining on your prescription.
Dental Care
If you need dental care:
- Active duty service members: Contact a military dental clinic or call the United Concordia at 866-984-2337.
- Active duty family members: Call United Concordia at 844-653-4061.
- Retired service members and their families: Contact FEDVIP.
