I bought TRICARE Young Adult, when will my coverage start?

It starts:

• The date the contractor gets your completed TRICARE Young Adult application; or
• The date you chose on your application.

Go to milConnect to check your start date and download your enrollment card. Then go to any ID card office to get a new uniformed services ID card. When you go to the doctor, you must show your TRICARE Young Adult enrollment card with your uniform services ID card.  

Note: If you sent your application within 90 days of losing your TRICARE eligibility, your coverage starts the day after your TRICARE-eligibility ended.
