If you’re enrolled in a TRICARE Prime option, US Family Health Plan, or purchased TRICARE Young Adult-Prime:
- You don’t need a referral for preventive care you get from network provider.
- You need a referral to see a non-network provider.
For all other TRICARE plans, you don’t need a referral.
