Does TRICARE cover breastfeeding counseling?

As of January 1, 2022, extra lactation and breastfeeding support services are available under the Childbirth and Breastfeeding Support Demonstration. The demonstration ends on December 31, 2026. The extra benefits are available to TRICARE Select, TRICARE Prime, and TRICARE Prime Remote enrollees in the U.S. and District of Columbia, U.S. territories, and overseas. You may get in-person support and support through video when you and the provider are in the same country.
