Gynecomastia Treatment
Gynecomastia is an abnormal enlargement of the male mammary glands. TRICARE covers medical, diagnostic, and surgical treatment.
Coverage criteria for surgical interventions may include, but isn’t limited to:
- Severe gynecomastia (enlargement has not resolved after one year)
- Fibrous tissue stroma exists
- Breast pain
TRICARE doesn’t cover surgical treatment performed purely for psychological reasons.
