TRICARE covers dermatological services for the diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders, including:
- Medically appropriate treatment for acne
- Photodynamic therapy
- Photochemotherapy
Topical treatment for hypertrophic scarring and keloids resulting from burns, surgical procedures, or traumatic events may be covered only if there is evidence of impaired function.
