What Provider Can I See and What Will I Pay? (West Region)
As a TRICARE West Region beneficiary, you may have been wondering how your care or the care of your loved ones would change after Jan. 1, 2025.
The West Region provider directory is now available. You should use this directory to see which providers are in the network for care you get on or after Jan. 1. The type of provider you see can determine how much you pay and the process for filing claims.
Are you a TRICARE Prime beneficiary seeing a mental health provider?
From Jan. 1 to March 31, you won’t be charged point-of-service fees if your provider is non-network. On or after April 1, you need to see a network provider to avoid point-of-service charges going forward.
Do you already have an authorization for care that doesn’t expire until later this year? Need to make a change to an existing referral/authorization?
- Are you enrolled in TRICARE Prime? TRICARE has modified the authorization period and point-of-service charges for your care after Jan. 1.
- Are you a TRICARE Select beneficiary? Make sure that the provider on your referral or pre-authorization is in the TriWest network or you may be responsible for additional out-of-pocket costs. Learn more about possible additional costs.
- Do you have family members enrolled in the TRICARE Autism Care Demonstration? There are TRICARE rules specific to ACD requirements.
