Overseas Providers

International SOS is the TRICARE overseas contractor. You can use the Overseas Provider Directory to find one of International SOS’ Network Providers near you.

Getting Care In Canada

Are you an active-duty service member or a command sponsored family member stationed in Canada? Are you enrolled in TRICARE Prime Remote Overseas? International SOS doesn’t develop a TRICARE network in Canada. Here are steps you should take.

  • Complete a foreign service application through your supporting Canadian Forces (CF) Health Services Centre.

  • You will then receive a Blue Cross of Canada card.

  • You will get outpatient and inpatient medical services at their CF Health Services Centre. What if there is no access or capability? If so, the CF Health Services Centre will refer you or your family to the Canadian network to get care with your Blue Cross card.

  • What if the capability or requirements can’t be met in the Canadian network? You should contact International SOS for help.

This program is only available in Canada. >>Learn More

Providers in the Philippines

There are two provider types in the Philippines:

  • Philippine Preferred Provider Network (PPN) providers
  • Certified providers

If you live or travel in the Philippines, you must see a PPN provider or a certified provider for your medical care. You’re encouraged to visit PPN providers if you’re enrolled in:

  • TRICARE Prime Overseas
  • TRICARE Prime Remote Overseas
  • TRICARE Select Overseas

Your out-of-pocket costs are lower when you use a PPN provider. If you see a PPN provider, you’ll fill out an agreement to pay applicable cost-shares and deductibles. This will happen at your visit.

To find a PPN provider or certified provider in the Philippines:

Don’t Speak the Language?

  • Most military hospitals and clinics overseas have patient liaisons who can help you. They can help you navigate any overseas health care system where you’re getting care.
  • Patient liaisons speak English, as well as the host nation language. They also know how the host nation medical system works. They can provide guidance and answer your questions.
