I'm diabetic. What are my TRICARE benefits?

TRICARE may pay for:

• Outpatient Diabetes Self-Management Training (DSMT) services
• Diabetic supplies and equipment
• Medically necessaryTo be medically necessary means it is appropriate, reasonable, and adequate for your condition. eye exams
• Therapeutic shoes

You may need approval for some services.  

If you have TRICARE For Life coverage and live in the U.S. or a U.S. Territory, you must follow Medicare’s rules.
