Urgent Care Initiative
TRICARE launched an urgent care initiative for TRICARE Prime beneficiaries
enrolled at nine military installations across the country. If you are a
beneficiary at one of these locations and you cannot reach your primary care
manager for a referral, you now have another option to receive urgent care
either after hours or when traveling.
TRICARE Briefing for National Guard and Reserve Units
Education is the key to understanding your TRICARE benefits. Without this
understanding, very stressful situations can occur resulting in expensive
out-of-pocket costs for service members and their family. Each unit must
ensure their assigned service members and their families are trained and
know who to contact for their TRICARE needs. There are many types of briefings:
- One-hour annual briefing
- Briefings for specific groups or events
- Mobilization/Demobilization briefings
- Yellow Ribbon compliance briefings
Please note that all briefing requests should be submitted at least three weeks in advance of the desired briefing date. The process to request the annual briefing is very simple.
By completing this form, your request is submitted immediately. You will be contacted to finalize arrangements for the briefing.
TRICARE Standard and Extra
TRICARE Standard and Extra is a fee-for-service plan available to all non-active duty beneficiaries. Enrollment is not
required. When using TRICARE Standard and Extra, beneficiaries may visit any TRICARE-authorized provider,
network or non-network, without a referral.
