Education & Training
In order to assist Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF) with their training needs, the Military Health System (MHS) developed Web Based Training
(WBT) covering aspects of the MHS Information Systems that are available at MHS Learn, the MHS Learning Portal located at
https://mhslearn.csd.disa.mil/ilearn/en/learner/mhs/portal/home.jsp
Access Managers and Appointing and Scheduling Clerks should complete the following courses on the MHS Learn website related to the patient
appointing process:
- CHCS MCP I: Booking Patient Appointments
- CHCS MCP II: Front Desk Clerk
- CHCS MCP: Appointment Booking Fundamentals (Virtual Classroom)
- CHCS MCP: MCP F&T: Part II
Access Managers and Appointing Supervisors should complete the following course on the MHS Learn website related to the patient appointing
process:
- MTF System Administrator/Appointing Supervisor
Local MTF training should incorporate aspects of the Access to Care (ATC) business rules, the relationships of the ATC standards as they apply to
appointment types and detail codes. This training should be integrated with the functionality of the MCP Booking module to ensure the staff have a
comprehensive understanding of the information systems and the ATC business rules. Users are encouraged to refer to Appendix E of the MHS Guide
to Access Success for detailed recommendations and resources related to education and training.
