Defense Health Agency

"On October 1, 2013, the Department of Defense established the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to manage the activities of the Military Health System. These activities include those previously managed by TRICARE Management Activity (TMA), which was disestablished on the same date. During the next several months, all TMA websites will change to reflect the new DHA. We appreciate your patience during this transition."

Acquisition Policy

Welcome to the Directorate of Procurement Acquisition Policy page. From this site, employees and the general public can access the Defense Health Agency (DHA) acquisition policy and procedures specifically related to the DHA mission. These documents will assist in efficiently conducting DHA business.

Please refer to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) and the DFARS Procedures, Guidance, and Information (PGI) sites for federal and Departmental acquisition policy and procedural guidance.

Defense Procurement & Acquisition Policy (DPAP) is responsible for all acquisition and procurement policy matters in the Department of Defense (DoD). This link provides access to the DPAP website.

DHA Acquisition policy, procedures, guides, forms, and templates are based on existing FAR, DFARS, DFARS PGI, and other sources (e.g., Office of Federal Procurement Policy, DoD Directives, DPAP memos, etc.). Below is a listing of the various DHA documents. These documents are applicable to all DHA buying organizations and activities receiving support from Directorate of Procurement acquisition resources.
