For Researchers

HPA&E research administrators work with those requesting data to perform analyses, studies, surveys or other types of health services investigations (operational or research oriented). There is a large number of administrative, clinical, survey and economic datasets used by MHS available for research. The analyses and evaluation performed by many DoD sponsored health care researchers are an integral part of DoD's mission to identify and elucidate today's health care challenges. To ensure compliance with current research ethics and standards, HPA&E supports the TMA Privacy Office and administers the TMA Human Subjects Research Program.

HA/TMA staff interested in conducting studies within MHS should complete a Proposed Study Information Sheet prior to funding the study and submit as stated in MG Granger's Gatekeeper Memo.

HA/TMA Staff and others requesting data should submit their data requests through the TMA Privacy Office (DUAs).
