TRICARE Military Healthcare System Marketing Survey (Toll-free Call Centers and Web Sites)

Objective: The MHS Web site (www.tricare.osd.mil) serves as the primary Web portal for TRICARE information. The Dir. C&CS, TMA sought information that would enhance Web site ease of use that would lead to improved satisfaction with TRICARE information efforts. It was also thought that this information would likely result in further increases in Web use and make TRICARE beneficiaries less reliant on MTF staff, call centers, and written correspondence for information, greatly reducing operating costs. This survey was the second in a series of telephone surveys designed by The Center for Health Care Management Studies to collect information from TRICARE beneficiaries regarding the sources they use to obtain information about their TRICARE benefits and services. The survey was administered in April-May of 2005. The focus of this survey was to gather TRICARE beneficiaries’ views regarding their use of TRICARE information sources, primarily the toll-free call centers and the TRICARE websites.
