Survey of Health Related Behaviors Among Military Personnel: Reserve Component

Objective: The DoD Survey of Health Related Behaviors among Military Personnel, a population based survey assessing health behaviors, has been expanded to incorporate the Guard/Reserve components of the military. These personnel are of particular interest in view of the key role they have been and continue to have in the Iraq conflict. The study will assess the prevalence of drug, alcohol and tobacco use, and will assess progress toward meeting HP2010 objectives. The survey will also assess general health status, mental health status, and access to , and utilization of, physical health and mental health services; gender-specific issues; oral health; and deployment.
