Military Hospitals and Clinics Customer Service Staff
Did you know that military hospitals and clinics come with a staff to support you? These include Patient Advocates, Beneficiary Counseling and Assistance Coordinators, and Debt Collection Assistance Officers. They can help you navigate the health care process. You can find them at military hospitals and clinics worldwide. Who you contact depends on the type of question, issue, or concern you have.
Patient Advocates help you with the support and education you need to ensure you have the best health care experience at your military hospital or clinic. They explain military hospital or clinic policies and ensure you understand your patient rights. Patient Advocates can help you with questions, problems, suggestions, or compliments, related to care you get at a military hospital or clinic.
BCACs help you understand how your TRICARE plan works. They can answer TRICARE-related questions about TRICARE eligibility, enrollment, referrals, claims, and covered services. Contact a BCAC after you’ve tried to resolve your issue with your TRICARE contractor.
DCAOs help with resolving debt collections due to unpaid TRICARE claims. The debt must be in collections or listed on your credit report. Contact a DCAO after you’ve tried to resolve your issue with your TRICARE contractor.
Use our Military Health System Customer Service Community Directory to find customer service staff at your military hospital or clinic.
Note: If your location doesn’t have a BCAC or DCAO, you may get help from the closest one to you.
