Orthotics

TRICARE covers orthotics, including extra-depth shoes with inserts and custom-molded shoes for beneficiaries with diabetes, and orthopedic braces and the shoes that come with the braces.

TRICARE does not cover:

  • Orthopedic shoes (except those that come with orthopedic braces)
  • Arch supports
  • Shoe insets and other supportive devices of the feet
  • Cranial orthosis and cranial molding helmets for nonsynostotic positional plagiocephaly and when used alone as treatment for craniosynostosis
