Webinar to Outline TRICARE’s Preventive Care Benefit
TRICARE and Military OneSource are co-hosting a webinar to educate TRICARE beneficiaries about the preventive care benefits available to them. The webinar is scheduled for Thursday, February 27, 2013, from 2-3 p.m. EDT.
To sign up go to https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/432014026 and remember, registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited due to system capacity. Participants must avoid sharing personal health information when asking a question.
TRICARE covers many clinical preventive services at no cost to beneficiaries, including breast and prostate cancer screenings, immunizations (flu shots) and cholesterol testing for all beneficiaries. By taking appropriate steps to ensure health and wellness, many illnesses can be prevented or caught early enough to reduce the harm they can cause.
The featured speaker for the webinar is CAPT Thomas Doss. CAPT Doss is the Health Benefits Section Chief in the Defense Health Agency, Clinical Support Division, (2006-Present). In this capacity, CAPT Doss reviews all waiver requests for care outside of the benefit for Active Duty Service Members; or Rare Diseases for Active Duty Family Members, Retirees, and their Dependents undergoing the appeal process.
